Clean, secluded for peace and quiet, out in country but 10 miles from civilization. Enjoyed it. Family and dog friendly
My bride and I chose MCMR as our wedding venue after spending a wonderful weekend there a year prior. The owners, AJ and Doug, are absolutely amazing and gracious hosts. We booked the entire lodge and several surrounding cabins for a weekend of perfect views, delicious food, and terrific company surrounded by our closest friends and family. Due to their affordable pricing, we were able to provide meals and housing for all of our wedding guests for the weekend and stay within our wedding budget. MCMR was happy to accommodate our decorations and allowed us to personalize the diner for the weekend. They catered to our guests' dietary needs without hesitation and were always ready and willing to help with any request we had, going out of their way to ensure that everyone was comfortable and happy. They helped us to organize activities for our guests, including horseback riding, hiking, and yard games. Although our guests seemed a little reluctant at first given the seemingly "middle of nowhere" destination we'd chosen, everyone gushed over the picturesque setting, with several of them choosing to extend their stays and make plans to return. If you are seeking a very serene setting at the foot of the Smokies, and are planning an intimate wedding (we had 30, which was the perfect number), I cannot recommend MCMR strongly enough.
Awesome place and excellent service!! The views are breathtaking. We stayed at a cabin which was beautiful, spacious, and well-equipped. You can swim at the ranch's pool, hike in the middle of the woods, or go river rafting at one of the many places where they offer this service nearby.
